B?y?n S?, The Temple of Azure Clouds , It was built in the 14th century (possibly in 1331), during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and was expanded in 1748
A Buddhist temple located in the eastern part of the Western Hills, just outside the north gate of Fragrant Hills Park (Xiangshan Gongyuan), in the Haidian District .
The temple, which is built on six different levels over an elevation of nearly 100 meters, is known for its fine scenery. The temple also includes a memorial hall to Sun Yat-sen, 
which is located at the center of the temple complex. Two other prominent features are the Five Hundred Arhats Hall and the Vajra Throne Tower. The Beijing Botanical Garden (Beijing Zh?w?yu?n) is a botanical garden situated in the northwestern outskirts of the Beijing between Xiangshan (Fragrant Hills) Park and Jade Spring Mountain  in the Western Hills. It was established in 1955. The Beijing Botanical Garden covers about 56.4 hectares. The gardens include a dozen exhibition districts and halls, such as the tree garden, a perennial bulb garden, a rose garden, a peony garden, a traditional Chinese medical herb garden, a wild fruit resources district, an environment protection plant district, a water and vine plant district, an endangered plant district, and exhibition greenhouses for tropical and subtropical plants.
The gardens cultivate 6,000 species of plant, including 2,000 kinds of trees and bushes, 1,620 varieties of tropical and subtropical plants, 500 species of flowers and 1,900 kinds of fruit trees, water plants, traditional Chinese.
The hothouse exhibition is the highlight of the gardens. The Peony Garden was open to the public in 1981 The Old Summer Palace, known in China as the Gardens of Perfect Clarity Yuan Ming Yuan), and originally called the Imperial Gardens Yu Yuan, was a complex of palaces and gardens 8 km (5 miles) northwest of the walls of Beijing, built in the 18th and early 19th century, where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty resided and handled government affairs (the Forbidden City inside Beijing was used only for formal ceremonies)
Known for its extensive collection of garden and building architectures and other works of art . the Imperial Gardens were entirely destroyed by troops from Britain and France in 1860 . nitial construction began in 1707, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and was on a much smaller scale. It was intended as a gift for the emperor's fourth son, later Emperor Yongzheng. In 1725, under Emperor Yongzheng, the Imperial Gardens were greatly expanded. Yongzheng introduced the waterworks of the gardens which created some of the lakes, streams and ponds which greatly complemented the rolling hills and gro Summer Palace or Yi he yuan 'Garden of Nurtured Harmony'a palace in Beijing, China. The Summer Palace is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill (60 meters high) and the Kunming Lake. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers, three quarters of which is water. The central Kunming Lake covering 2.2 square kilometers was entirely man made and the excavated soil was used to build Longevity Hill. In its compact 70,000 square meters of building space, one finds a variety of palaces, gardens, and other classical-style architectural structures.
Kunming Lake was created by extending an existing body of water to imitate the West Lake in Hangzhou. The palace complex suffered two major attacks--during the Anglo-French allied invasion of 1860 (with the Old Summer Palace also ransacked at the same time), and during the Boxer Rebellion, in an attack by the eight allied powers in 1900. The garden survived and was rebuilt in 1886 and 1902. In 1888, it was given the current name, Yihe Yuan. It served as a summer resort for E Peking University colloquially known in Chinese as Beida . It is located on the former site of Qing Dynasty royal gardens and retains Chinese-style landscaping as well as many traditional buildings. It is known throughout China, along with its neighbour Tsinghua University, for having one of the most beautiful campuseswas established in 1898. It is regarded as one of the best and the most selective universities in China. Peking University is the first formally established university, and the first national university of China
The entrance criterion of Peking University is extremely selective. Every year only the top students of each province across China can be admitted, which makes Peking University one of the most prestigious places for students all over China.The University consists of 30 colleges and 12 departments, with 93 specialties for undergraduates, 2 specialties for the second Bachelor's degree, 199 specialties for Master's degree candidates and 173 specialties for Doctoral candidates. Tsinghua University Established in 1911 as a preparatory school for Chinese graduates pursuing further studies at American universities, the school expanded and offered four-year undergraduate and post-graduate programs in 1925.Tsinghua University was established in Beijing in 1911 on the site of a former royal garden belonging to a prince, and was funded by an indemnity which China paid the United States after the Boxer Rebellion. Known as MIT of China, Tsinghua has the best engineering and applied sciences programs in the nation . Tsinghua is the Chinese university where former United States Vice President Al Gore lectured at in his documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Viewers can see the university lecture hall, with its well-known purple seats.
It is known throughout China for having one of the most beautiful campuses.
The university's architect T. Chuang, a 1914 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, modeled his designs for the quadrangle and auditorium of Tsinghua on the Illinois are narrow streets or alleys, most commonly associated with Beijing, China.

The word hutong comes from the Mongolian hottog, meaning "water well." During the growth of towns and cities, wells dug by villagers formed the centres of new communities. Beijing Zoo mainly exhibits wild and rare animals of China. Its name was changed from Yuan Khanbaliq's The Temple of Sunn Beijing, China, is located in Ritan Park, in the eastern urban area, around the Jianguomen area, near the embassy district. It is a short walk from the Yonganli station on the Beijing subway Line 1

The altar was built in 1530 for use in ritual sacrifice to the sun by the Emperor of China. Ritan Park is now a public park, and features extensive gardens and a small lake.

Directly opposite it, at the other end of the city, is the Temple of Moon in Fuchengmen, western urban Beijing. Chaoyang Parkis a park located of the site of the former Prince's Palace in the Chaoyang District of northeastern Beijing, China.

The park's construction began in 1984. It is approximately 2.8 km in length and approximately 1.5 km in width, with a total area of 288.7 hectares, and a water surface area of 68.2 hectares; 87% of which is green space.
Since 2005, the Beijing Pop Festival has been held at Chaoyang Park each September.

A temporary beach volleyball stadium is being constructed here to host the Beach Volleyball events of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Gulou  the drum tower of Beijing, is situated at the northern end of the central axis of the Inner City to the north of Di? anmen Street. Originally built for musical reasons it was later used to announce the time and is now a tourist attraction.
Zhonglou, the bell tower of Beijing, stands closely behind the drum tower.The Drum Tower was built in 1272 during the reign of Kublai Khan, at which time it stood at the very heart of the Yuan capital Khanbaliq. At that time it was known as the Tower of Orderly Administration (Qizhenglou).

In 1420, under the Ming Emperor Yongle, the building was reconstructed to the east of the original site and in 1800 under the Qing Emperor Jiaqing, large-scale renovations were carried out. In 1924, the name of the building was changed to the Tower of Realizing Shamefulness (Mingchilou) and objects related to the Eight-Power Allied Forces? invasion of Beijing and later the May 30 Massacre o Beijing Capital International Airport Beijing Capital International Airport is located 27 km to the northeast of Beijing city center. 
Several bus companies run to the airport every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 7pm daily for 16 Yuan .You can catch a 
bus at the Beijing International hotel . a light rail to the airport is under construction .. A taxi to the airport should
cost about 85 yuan, some drivers will try to hussle you for a 300 Yuan trip in the airport. Prices for food and gifts
